During the second and last play of T20 series between South Africa and Pakistan, Umer Akmal made a new record.

Umer Akmal scored 64 runs on 37 balls by hitting 5 4s and 4 sixes. He made a world of youngest player scoring 1000 runs in T20.
Umer akmal has achieved this record in the age 23 years and 180 days. Earlier this record was under an Australian batsman who had made a record of hitting 1000 runs at the age of 25 years and 328 days.
According to Wikipedia, umer akmal played his very 1st one day on 1st august 2009 against Sri Lanka while he played 1st test match of his career on 23rd September 2009 against New Zeeland.
